HISTORY
Red Dog is a variation of the game Yablon, also known as Ace-Deuce or In-Between. The name Red Dog is borrowed from a game of the same name but that is where the similarities end. Surpassed only by Blackjack, the original Red Dog was the most popular fast-action card game played by servicemen during World War II.

OBJECT
The object of the game is to predict whether the value of a third card will fall between the values of two previously drawn cards. If you predict that it will, you will want to Raise your bet before the third card is drawn.
OVERVIEW
After placing a bet, two cards are dealt face up on the table.
  • If the two cards are ranked consecutively, the hand is tie. A third card is not drawn and no Raise bets are allowed.
  • If the two cards are a pair, no Raise bets are allowed but a third card is drawn. If the third card drawn produces three of a kind, you win! If not, the hand is tie.
  • If the two cards are not a pair and not consecutive, you can Raise your Bet and a third card is drawn. If the value of the third card falls between the values of the first two cards, you win! The spread, or number of cards between the first two cards, determines the odds payoff on winning bets. See Payoff Odds.
GAME RULES
  • Cards are ranked two through Ace and the suits are irrelevant.
  • Raise bets must be equal to the original Bet.
  • All winning bets are paid according to the following.

TABLE CONDITIONS
  • Minimum bet is $1.
  • Maximum bet is $300.
  • An 8-deck shoe is shuffled after each hand.
PLAYING THE GAME
The game starts when you place a bet. The details of placing bets can be read in Placing Bets on Table Games. It is strongly recommended that you read these Common Factors before playing. After placing your initial bet, left-click the Deal button to deal the cards. Evaluate the spread of the cards and decide if you want to Raise your Bet. If you do, left-click the Raise box. This will place a bet equal to your original Bet into the Raise box. Now left-click the Draw button. If you do not want to Raise, simply left-click the Draw button. Remember that you cannot raise your Bet when the first two cards are consecutive or a pair. If the third card falls between the first two cards or produces a three of a kind, you are paid according to the Payoff Odds.
